OK, Here is just a little snippet of me on Bob. Keep in mind he hasn't been out in a couple days and is a little stiff. This will be like the beginning and we can watch my progress. I Love and hate to watch my self ride. I love that I can see what needs improvement and I hate that I can see what needs improvement. In my minds eye I ride perfectly. A lot like Lynn Palm. In real life....not so much. I love how you can hear TLC talking in the background. That kid cracks me up.

Draggin A$$
Today I feel like I am just draggin. By draggin I mean haulin my lazy butt around without enthusiasim. I went to the gym this morning and just half assed it. I haven't even changed clothes, and I've been back since 11:00 this moring. The only reason TLC isn't wearing footy pajams is that he had to go to the kid area at the gym and I didn't want people to see what he had for breakfast. (It is always evident on his shirt) Maybe it's the weather. It went from a lovely 70% and sunny. Just enough to pop my daffodills, to 50 and raining...again. This is not condusive to riding I'll have you know. All I really want to do is sit in my bean bag chair and eat chocolate chips right out of the bag.
On a different note. If you haven't read California Cowgirls blog lately. You should. The other day she posted about our Horseman's club crab feed. It was SO FUN. I put in a picture of a couple of us at the end of the night.
I am in the middle next to Vaquero Girl. Can you tell I cut my hair?

Ugh.
Some days I just feel tired. Poor Vaquero girl never gets to see her little grandson these days. Bob is showing serious signs of arthritis, and Lil Mama is running out of money. I can't wait for the days to get longer, and warmer. I am sick to death of the rain and mud. I am really worried about my poor horse. When he first comes out he is a little lame. (not three legged, it comes and go's and there is no heat in the leg or foot) Just a little hitch in his giddy up. With about 10 to 15 minutes of warm up he no longer limps. Hmmm??? I talked to a couple of my horse buddies. They seem to think it is arthritis. They think if it was anything else it would get worse not better after warm up. Again, hmmm. I don't really have the money to take him to davis to get x-rayed and he is 14 this year. I think I will start him on so glucosomine with condroitin and see if it helps. Does any body have any brand they perticulary like?

Mommy in spurs
Well it's almost here...Show season. I am going to a pretty good size show in March. Yikes that's only a month away. (nail biting) In the last month I think I've ridden three or four times. (more nail biting and a sheepish grin) Bob has gotten out of course, but the rain and mud and sickness has kept me grounded. I did fight through sinus pain and ride on Saturday. The good news is that Bob is getting older and more well behaved after longer stall stays.
I have decided to change up my show schedule. Hopefully that will be a good thing. I am feeling pretty confident at this point. Bob seems to be going along pretty well. Of course that all could change once we get to the show. The first show is an open show so I think we will be pretty competitive.
A girl friend of mine is going to be at the March show with us. She is also bringing her 9 month old baby. (holy cow) TLC was over a year when I took him to his first show and NOT breast feeding any more. All I can say is not easy. I told her of course I would help her but not to expect this show to be like it used to be. Forget about schooling your horse if he was bad in the show ring. You gotta schedule everything around naps and lunch/snack/whatever. I plan on leaving my little cowboy at home with the Hunter. Any way I'll keep you all posted and try and add some training video.
