AQHA Regional Experience

Ok. So after packing up the enormous amount of crap you have to take with you when you have a kid, planning the trip around nap time so he wouldn't scream the entire three hours it takes to get to Reno, we arrived in one piece with a happy little boy. We had some lunch and went to the show......Did you ever see National Lampoons Summer Vacation? You remember when they get to Wally world and it's closed. That was my level of disappointment in the show. I was expecting lots of shopping, some clinics, and tons of horses. There were three vendors, that's what I said 3 ! Two of which are at my usual show. There was hardly anyone showing. Most of the people there were people I show with, and the parking lot looked deserted. There were no clinics that we saw. I don't know if they got cancelled or what. I feel so sad that this wasn't as cool as it could have been. I don't know if its the price it cost to show, or that no one has the money to travel. The classes didn't even have enough horses in them to get points to qualify for anything. Very sad. It must be so much harder and more expensive to qualify now. I bet the world show will be small this year too.

Hello

Ok. I know I am such a gigantic looser. I hardly ever blog these days. I blame it mostly on The Littlest Cowboy. Who by the way will be one whole year old in a month. I have started planning the party. I wanted something small and nice but The Hunter said NO WAY we are having a huge blow out. He calls it the Boy Child Party, because while I was pregers everyone said he was going to have a little girl. It about sent him into palsy. I am sending out over 50 invites, it will be catered, and we will have at least one bounce house. Yikes! I am so going to hide in the house. The horse move went great. Bob and Desi really like their new home. Although the stalls get really hot in the afternoon and they sweat like crazy. Poor guys. I hope they aclumate a little. The good thing is that they are so close to home now I can not only ride just about everyday but I can make sure they get hosed off and cooled down. We had the benifit for my friend in the coma on Saturday. It went great. We are going to be able to give the family a little more then 5000 bucks. Way to go horse people.
Allison's mom and dad came. Terri ( is the mom) makes me feel better because she is so positive. She told me that Allison will wake up any day now. You know what? I belive her.
Mothers day was great. The Hunter actually bought me a present. (I know. Like a brand spankin new truck wasn't enough) He bought me two tickets to Jewel at the Warfield theater in San Francisco. It's a very intimate setting. I am very excited. I have never seen her perform and I just love her. Now I just have to find someone to go with me. The Hunter says it's not his cup of tea. Any Hoo. Miss you all. Sorry I suck for not being on more. Have a great week. I am not even going to say I'll be on again soon cuz I don't know if its true.
